Mrs. Barker's 4th graders took their learning out into their community on Thursday, May7th, 2026! During the 2nd semester of their year, students began learning about Galesburg history by studying people, places, and events. Students then held presentations in the King library earlier in the semester and invited family and community members to come and learn about their chosen Galesburg topic. Students then took their learning out into community as their culminating activity. A big thank you to retired Galesburg 205 teacher Mrs. Merris Hennenfent and Board Member Jake Taylor who worked with the class during their project and joined the students during their trip!
