While the world's elite athletes are gathered in Milan and Corina d'Ampezzo, Italy, our own little group of athletes kicked off their games last week at King Elementary.
The event aligned with the "Pushes and Pulls" unit, a fundamental Kindergarten Science standard focused on how forces change the speed and direction of objects. Students put their vocabulary words into action through three modified Olympic events: Curling, Speed Skating, and Ski Jumping.
The week-long competition concluded with a grand podium presentation, where students were recognized for their achievements in the games.
